Our focus is to help individuals and families heal, energize, and become aware of their inner strengths. We achieve this by providing a neutral safe space, listening to your concerns, and customizing a treatment plan. Our experience enables us to offer effective, individualized psychological care. We specialize in depressive and anxiety disorders, complex trauma, relationship issues, phase of life transitions, grief and loss, and substance abuse treatment. We work with adults, children, adolescents, families, and couples. We have been trained in Mindfulness practices, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing therapy (EMDR). Our goal is more than to help aid in symptom reduction. We want our clients to have inner healing and leave therapy with a more connected mind, body, and spirit.
Mindfulness: Mindfulness is a step in emotional healing. Mindfulness is being able to turn toward and acknowledge our difficult thoughts and feelings with a spirit of openness and curiosity. Mindfulness helps us learn how to be more aware of thoughts, feelings, surroundings, and situations to reduce automatic unhealthy reactions. The more mindful people are, the more self-connected they will be. The more self-connected people are, the higher their well-being will be.
CBT: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy focuses on identifying and reframing distorted ways of thinking and behaving. CBT can improve emotional regulation and developing coping skills that help with current issues.
DBT: Dialectical Behavioral Therapy is a type of cognitive behavioral therapy that teaches people how to live in the moment, cope with stress in a healthy manner, regulate emotions, and improve relationships. DBT introduces individuals to acceptance and change - a concept that is difficult and often avoided by many.
EMDR: Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing therapy is an interactive psychotherapy technique used to address and relieve psychological stress. It is a treatment tool used for trauma and posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) that relieves emotional distress, transforms thought processes, and reduces psychological arousal.
At Sunrise, we promise to be there for you every step of your journey. Our goal is to help you grow from your struggles, heal from your pain, and move forward in living more meaningful and purposeful lives. Each sunrise brings a new day with new hopes for a new beginning.
